About Hyesim

About Young-ju Bae
Young-ju Bae is a poet, translator, and scholar of Korean literature. She is the author of several books of poetry, including My Father's Arms and As Long As There Is Snow in the Mountains. She has also translated several works of Korean literature into English, including Hyesim's Magnolia Lotus.
Bae is a professor of Korean literature at the University of California, Berkeley. She is a leading authority on Korean poetry, and her work has helped to introduce Korean literature to a wider audience.
